Jesus was speaking when Judas, one of the twelve diciples, arrived. With him was a large crowd armed with swords and clubs and sent by the chief priests and the elders.
Matthew 26;47

Judas (Like Jesus) was a common name for Jewish men in those days; it is the Greek form of Judah. He came from a region called Judea, whereas all the other diciples came from Galilee. yet he gained enough trust to be named the diciples treasurer. The Bible gives few details on Judas's motive for betraying Jesus. He may have become disillusioned when Jesus sisn't fulfill his expectations of a powerful king and Messiah.
